Tuesday evening, regular wall night at Rockworks, Newcastle Climbing Centre (Byker Church wall) or Sunderland wall, watch for the emails. Also during the lighter summer months, cragging locally.

Wednesday evening regulars at Peel Crag. (If good weather on 1st Wednesday, social will be held at the crag ..)

But of course, the most important benefit, is that you meet other climbers !

Wanneys climbing club - welcome!

Welcome to the Wanneys forum.

We are an informal club based in the Northumberland and Tyneside area, involved in all aspects of climbing and mountaineering. Please have a look through this site and see what we get up to.

As a member, you can add pictures, videos and chat and help to grow this community and our club. See left for membership benefits.

Our annual membership fee is £20 for individuals and £30 for couples/families.

To get involved, drop us an email (enquire_wanneys@yahoo.com) or come along to one of our monthly socials - the first Wednesday evening of every month at the Bridge Hotel, Newcastle, from around 8pm onwards. (Keep an eye out for the club logo).
